Job summary

ICF is seeking a Data Validation Engineer to join our Digital Modernization team supporting federal clients from a remote location, with a strong preference for candidates in the Washington DC Metro Area.

You will implement technical controls for data parity, freshness, anomaly detection, pipeline observability, alerting, defect tracking, and release evidence, while coordinating with governance and publication gates to ensure testable, auditable quality.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to work in the U.S. is required.
• Residence in the U.S. and three of last five years in the U.S.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant data engineering, data quality, or data governance experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical controls for data parity, freshness, anomaly detection, and observability.
• Wires pipelines to monitoring and reporting to detect data quality issues before release.
• Collaborate with Governance on rules, definitions of done, and publication gates.
• Apply data quality automation, parity testing, and SLAs to data delivery.
• Document work products, risks, and delivery evidence for traceability.
