Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to ensure data quality across cloud analytics platforms like Snowflake or Databricks. The role focuses on validating data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through SQL, dbt testing, and end-to-end data pipeline validation.

You will write SQL queries, develop dbt schema and data tests, and collaborate with data engineering to understand data models and expected outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
• dbt testing (Schema Tests and Data Tests) experience.
• Data quality assurance and analytics platform testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of source-to-target validation and data reconciliation.
• Experience validating data transformation logic and data pipelines.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Experience with QA documentation, test cases, and defect management.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform data quality assurance within Snowflake or Databricks environments.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Develop, execute, and maintain dbt schema tests and data tests.
• Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
• Validate data transformation logic and ensure data integrity across pipelines.
• Identify, document, and help resolve data discrepancies and quality issues.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to understand data models and expected outcomes.
• Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and validation documentation.
• Track, manage, and report defects using QA tools such as Jira.
