Job summary

Insperity is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to ensure data products meet quality standards across pipelines and platforms. The role focuses on implementing tests for functional, integration, and performance aspects and collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business users to maintain data quality governance.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL, experience with automated data quality tools like Great Expectations and dbt, and a background in CI/CD with Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or four years of related work experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in information systems, with at least 1 year in testing or enterprise software.
• Experience with data quality and observability frameworks (Great Expectations, dbt, pytest, Talend) is required.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Ability to automate testing and integrate within CI/CD using Python.
• Familiarity with big data tools (Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks).
• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work with executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Participates in engineering data pipelines while ensuring quality metrics are met.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure quality dimensions are built into solutions.
• Designs and implements automation to improve data delivery and scalability.
• Works with executives, product management, and data teams to ensure alignment.
• Tests large, complex datasets to meet business requirements.
• Ensures data security across implementations and environments.
