Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Data Quality Analyst in San Diego to ensure high data quality, build a new integrity framework, and develop reports to increase visibility into data health. You will collaborate with teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, and more to create next-generation tools for creators.

You’ll drive external reporting, build daily quality pipelines, perform root cause analyses, and present findings to senior leadership with clear data-backed insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL experience.
• Basic Python for pipeline development.
• Strong product intuition, data analysis skills, and storytelling for business presentations.
• Ability to work with large data sets using various tools including internal app behavioral data.
• Delivery oriented; able to lead and execute analyses end-to-end.
• B.Sc. in CS, EE, Information Systems, Analytics or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Own external reporting, from instrumentation QA to business logic updates to report generation and validation.
• Build the daily quality pipeline, creating reporting to monitor for regressions and surface data quality concerns early in development.
• Perform root cause analysis for anomalous data points.
• Serve as internal liaison to share knowledge of data and best practices.
• Build visual reports and dashboards using Tableau, Looker, Jupyter, etc.
• Work with large volumes of data, extract and manipulate datasets using Spark SQL.
• Communicate complex analyses clearly to senior management.
