Responsibilities
Communicate with experts to collect data and metadata.
Document current state data quality controls.
Perform root cause analysis on data issues.
Recommend solutions for data quality control gaps.
Build and improve data governance processes.
Identify gaps in data management standards and address them.
Communicate with technical and operational subject matter experts to understand and collect metadata for systems, processes, reports, controls, data movement, and business terminology
Document the inventory of current state data quality controls
Perform root cause analysis on data issues
Recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues
Build and improve data governance processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management
Identify gaps in data management standard adherence and work with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps
Qualifications
Strong data management and governance skills
Strong experience and understanding of the collection and management of metadata
Experience with implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls
Ability to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues
Ability to communicate with individuals having varying technical understanding, clearly and effectively
