This position reports to the Manager of Data Governance and is responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across critical systems in our cloud environments. This role involves conducting quality assessments, audits, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiencies for consumption. The Data Quality Analyst will collaborate with business owners, business analysts, BI, & Technology teams to monitor data quality metrics and enforce data governance policies.

Job Responsibility

Data Quality Monitoring

• Continuously monitor and assess the quality of data across various cloud systems.
• Develop and maintain data quality scorecards, reports, and dashboards.
• Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and inaccuracies, and work with data engineer, data management and business owners to correct any issues.

Data Quality

• Define and implement data quality rules, standards and processes to improve the quality of critical data assets.
• Work with data management and business teams to resolve data quality issue and ensure data is certified for consumption.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring data quality problems and recommend corrective actions

Tools and Automation

• Utilize tools (e.g., Atlan) and programming skills (SQL, Python) to automate data audits, cleansing and validation.
• Recommend and implement automation solutions to streamline data quality monitoring and validation.
• Work closely with data stakeholders in the business to ensure data quality standards are met
• Participate in cross-functional data quality improvement projects
• Identification, development, and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Quality Metrics KPI’s and data metrics

Reporting and Metrics

• Interpret data and analyze the results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports on the effectiveness of different strategies and observe any trends or issues to raise with leadership.
• Ensuring that the data leveraged in core operational reporting is accurate and complete at all times

Accountability

• Understand, adhere to and enforce all corporate policies.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or other relevant field or sufficient experience in the same or related role or equivalent experience.

Experience Required

• 2 years’ experience in data quality, data analysis, or data management roles.
• Strong knowledge of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools
• Experience working within cloud environments, data warehouses, and leveraging programming skills (i.e., SQL, and Python)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business, technology and data teams.
• Strong Understanding of RDBMS concepts and extensive hands‑on experience w/ Structured Query Language (SQL) for Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server and Snowflake databases
• Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment; Knowledge of finance and accounting processes
• Awareness of data quality lifecycle
• Research skills, problem solving & decision-making Root cause analysis
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively at senior levels

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
