This role owns data architecture, modeling integrity, and delivery quality, ensuring data products are built correctly, consistently, and to enterprise standards across distributed delivery teams. This is an onshore leadership role that sets technical direction and governs quality while enabling execution by offshore engineering teams. Success is measured by correctness, scalability, and business trust in delivered data products.## **Core Responsibilities**Data Product & Architecture Ownership**Own the technical architecture and data design for assigned data products across Personal Lines domains:*** Policy* Quote & Underwriting* Billing / Finance* Service & Interaction Analytics* Define and govern data product standards, including modeling patterns, SLAs, and quality thresholds* Serve as the final authority on data architecture and design decisions* Data Modeling & Platform Direction* Own and enforce correct use of Data Vault 2.0 (Hubs, Links, Satellites, historization, grain, lineage)**Ensure alignment between:*** Source systems (legacy and modern PAS such as Guidewire)* Canonical/Data Vault layers* Curated and consumption models* Guide platform design across AWS and Snowflake‐based lakehouse architectures**Engineering Oversight & Quality Gates*** Review offshore engineering output for architectural alignment, data correctness, and performance* Establish and enforce technical quality gates across ingestion, transformation, and modeling layers* Escalate and resolve technical blockers impacting delivery predictability or data correctness**Delivery Enablement*** Partner closely with Data Product Knowledge Leads, Delivery Architects, and Product Owners* Translate product intent and architectural patterns into clear, implementation‐ready guidance for offshore teams* Ensure MVPs evolve into production‐grade, scalable data products**Advanced Analytics Enablement*** Ensure data products support downstream analytics and AI/ML use cases, including:* Customer interaction analytics (IVR, call center, service metrics)* Operational and financial insights* Govern dimensional and analytical layer design to balance performance and correctness## **Required Experience*** 10+ years of experience in data engineering and data platform architecture* Deep experience in insurance data domains, especially Personal Lines (Policy, Quote, Billing, Service)* Proven leadership designing enterprise data platforms using:* Data Vault methodologies* Snowflake* AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, etc.)* Hands‐on background sufficient to review, challenge, and guide engineering implementation* Strong SQL and data modeling expertise## **Preferred Experience*** Experience integrating legacy insurance systems with modern PAS platforms (e.g., Guidewire)* Familiarity with DBT‐based transformation patterns* Experience supporting AI‐accelerated or automated delivery models* Exposure to data governance, data quality, and observability frameworksThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $105,000 - $115,000Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
