Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Domain Lead to drive discovery and definition of core products for the Global Data organization’s foundational data platforms. This role bridges business strategy and data delivery, aligning priorities and value opportunities while guiding investment decisions to maximize impact.

Responsibilities include defining scope, communicating objectives, and partnering with stakeholders and engineering to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; MBA, PMP, CBAP or data certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data products, technology, or product-driven organizations.
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Familiarity with data processing, ELT/ETL pipelines, and data migration practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relationship building and ability to influence without authority.
• Proactive, strategic problem-solver who independently identifies opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize scope, goals, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and milestones across data product initiatives.
• Own communication of business objectives and drive delivery through ambiguity across data teams, OCTO teams, business stakeholders, and executives.
• Develop narratives for data products to secure stakeholder buy-in and executive support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to drive value articulation and success metrics for implementation.
• Partner with engineering teams to clarify expectations and ensure delivery of measurable business value.
• Measure and communicate the business impact of domain and data initiatives.
• Collaborate across Global Data to advance data quality, governance, and sustainability standards.
