Job summary

YipitData is expanding its Corporate Data Team and seeks a Data Product Analyst to deliver high‑impact, data‑driven products for Retail clients. You will own data deliverables, ensure accuracy across pipelines, and explain methodologies to clients and stakeholders.

Four to six years in data analytics or consulting, strong SQL, Python, and PySpark skills, plus experience with sample/panel data, are required.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, data operations, or consulting.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL, Python, PySpark; familiar with Github and Databricks.
  • Experience using sample or panel data to inform decisions.
  • Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly, especially data methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex problems clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ramp up quickly to own high‑impact data deliverables for Retail clients.
  • Design, maintain, and run QA processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients and internal stakeholders on data methodologies and coverage.
  • Independently investigate and resolve complex data quality issues.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Insights and Engineering to improve workflows and automation.
  • Mentor peers and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.

About The Role:

YipitData’s Corporate team collaborates directly with organizations like Ulta, 3M, and Scotts Miracle‑Gro to build one of the most comprehensive views into how consumers in the U.S. are purchasing and engaging with brands. By transforming massive volumes of consumer data into accurate, reliable, and actionable insights, we enable our clients to understand not just what is happening in their businesses, but why—and to use that understanding to make higher‑confidence decisions in an increasingly competitive landscape.

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding the Data team within our Corporate practice and are excited to welcome a Data Analyst to help deliver high‑impact, data‑driven products to our Retail clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 4-6 years of experience who is eager to deepen their data analysis skill set, gain direct exposure to clients, and join a rapidly growing team at YipitData. In this role, you will independently manage data quality end‑to‑end, resolve complex issues across data pipelines and sources, improve category classification and product attribution, collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to ensure our data is accurate, reliable, and clearly understood and help our clients understand our methodology and data limitations.

As a Data Product Analyst at our Retail team, you will:

  • Ramp up quickly to become the primary owner of high‑impact data deliverables, driving product success by delivering best‑in‑class outputs with a focus on accuracy, client value, and efficiency
  • Design, maintain, and run comprehensive QA processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability across assigned sector products & client deliverables
  • Serve as a trusted resource for our clients and internal stakeholders by understanding client needs and aligning them with our data methodologies, limitations, and coverage
  • Independently investigate and resolve complex data quality issues
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Insights and Engineering to align on best practices to deliver customer value, and develop technical solutions that streamline workflows, optimize data processes, and expand automation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, robustness, and data quality within your team’s workflows, and mentor peers accordingly
Likely To Succeed If:
  • You have 4‑6 years of experience in data analytics, data operations, or consulting
  • You have 4+ years of experience working with SQL, Python, Pyspark, or other programming languages to explore and transform large, complex datasets; Familiarity with Github and Databricks
  • You have experience using sample or panel data to make precise estimates that guide decision‑making
