Position Summary

The Data Processing Clerk II performs intermediate-level coding and data processing tasks, including classification of narrative industry and occupation data using established coding systems such as NAICS and SOC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze narrative job descriptions and industry entries.
  • Apply CDC-specified coding systems accurately.
  • Resolve moderately complex classification issues.
  • Document coding rationale when required.
  • Assist in peer review and support quality initiatives.
  • Meet accuracy and productivity performance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in data processing or occupational coding.
  • Familiarity with hierarchical classification systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Work with a certified SDVOSB and ISO-certified organization
