• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Texas or California, in good standing.
• 1–3 years of substantive privacy, data processing, cybersecurity, and transactional experience.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, or other transactional work.
• Experience advising clients in technology-focused industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory policy and enforcement matters is desirable.
• CIPP certification is a plus.
• Superior academics and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and client-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues in M&A, offerings, and other transactions.
• Conduct privacy and cybersecurity diligence in corporate and technology deals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction-related privacy and data protection provisions and agreements.
• Counsel clients on privacy compliance obligations and risk management in complex transactions.
• Collaborate with corporate, technology, IP, and regulatory teams on domestic and cross-border matters.
• Work with innovative technology companies in AI, cloud, software, and fintech.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters arising in corporate and technology transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other strategic commercial transactions. The successful candidate will join an industry-leading team advising both private and public companies across a broad range of innovative sectors, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.

Candidate Profile

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: $225,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience and class year
