Ascendion in New York City is seeking a Data Privacy & AI Governance Attorney to join its Intellectual Property and Technology practice. The role sits at the intersection of privacy, AI governance, cybersecurity and litigation, with the backing of a national practice.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and a salary range of $170,000 to $210,000 plus bonus. Candidates should have a JD, state and federal admission, and 3+ years in privacy or AI

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one state and federal jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or AI governance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws; AI governance experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on U.S. privacy laws and regulatory requirements.
• Counsel clients on AI governance and emerging AI regulations.
• Draft privacy, data processing and AI-related agreements and policies.
• Conduct privacy and AI risk assessments.
• Handle privacy litigation, including data breach and class action matters.

Salary and Other Compensation:
