Job summary

Hapi (Data Travel, LLC) is seeking a technically-minded Product Owner to drive strategy, prioritization, and delivery of our Data Platform and Data Products. You will own end-to-end backlog for an AWS-native data platform, from ingestion to APIs and insights powering internal and customer-facing products.

You will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Solutions Architecture, and Implementation teams to translate complex requirements into actionable work and ensure delivery stays on

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with data engineering, data platform, or data infrastructure ownership.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum as PO - writing tickets, running sprint ceremonies, managing a live backlog.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud-native data architectures (data lakes, lakehouses, ELT/ETL).
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Airflow, DynamoDB, Aurora Clusters).
• Ability to read and evaluate data pipeline logic, data models, and schema definitions.
• Experience defining data contracts, data quality requirements, or SLA frameworks for data pipelines.
• Proven ability to bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the data platform product backlog, aligned with technical and business objectives.
• Co-author epics, features, and user stories with Data Engineers; define acceptance criteria, data contracts, and specs.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives with the Data Engineering team.
