Job summary

Profound is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Platform to join our NYC or SF office. This on-site role involves designing and building scalable platforms for machine learning and data analytics. You will enable data engineers and scientists through robust infrastructure and tools.

The expected salary range is $140,000 to $260,000, with total compensation including equity and benefits. We are committed to competitive packages and support for qualified international candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building platforms for engineers and data scientists.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams.
• Experience with data governance, reliability, and secure data operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build platform infrastructure supporting ML, analytics, and data teams.
• Develop tools for data ingestion, transformation, quality, and observability.
• Architect scalable and reliable systems using various technologies.
• Build governance and data quality systems that scale.
• Enable MLOps infrastructure for model development.

Skills

Experience with analytics and lakehouse technologies

Strong problem-solving skills

Proven experience building platforms for engineers and data scientists

Strong cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure

Experience designing large-scale distributed data systems

Excellent communication skills

Experience with data governance

Interest in MLOps
