Job summary

PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH in New York is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to help build, maintain, and scale the data infrastructure and pipelines that power the company’s data ecosystem. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience with the modern data stack, cloud infrastructure, and data orchestration.

This role emphasizes collaboration, a strong CS foundation, and delivering high-quality code while continuously learning and adapting to new technologies across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent).
• Strong CS fundamentals including Python and OOP concepts.
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and cloud infra.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to ensure data delivery.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot data pipelines, and resolve DB issues.
• Adopt AI tooling and modern dev practices to write clean, well-documented code.
• Continuously learn new technologies and best practices in data engineering.
