Job summary

Numeric is building a modern data infrastructure for accounting and finance. The Data Infrastructure team owns the lakehouse that ingests data from ERPs and banks, transforms it into canonical tables, and serves it to accounting modules, reporting, and AI agents.

We seek engineers who can handle end-to-end data pipelines, ensure auditability, and optimize for scalable query performance in a multi-tenant environment. This is an in-person role in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in data-intensive systems.
• Strong SQL and knowledge of columnar stores/partitioning.
• Experience with transformation/orchestration stacks (SQLMesh/dbt/Dagster/Airflow).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.

Responsibilities

• Ingestion at scale: incremental extraction from API sources and data warehouse replication.
• Data contracts & typed source data: enforce schemas at the boundary.
