Job summary

Outpost Bio in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build and operate data pipelines from raw data to analysis-ready datasets, enabling reproducible machine learning and analytics. You will sit between wet-lab data producers and ML teams, owning datasets, provenance, and validation while ensuring reliable, scalable workflows on AWS using Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.

You will work with scientists to understand data generation and constraints, maintaining robust engineering

Qualifications

3–5 years building and operating production data infrastructure.
Owned pipelines that others depend on and handled failures.
Experience with cloud compute and strong engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Build and operate pipelines turning raw data into analysis-ready datasets.
Own the datasets with schema stability, provenance, validation and documentation.
Collaborate with wet-lab and CRO teams and ML/analytic groups.
Maintain good engineering practices: code reviews, tests, CI, diagnosable failures.
Make training/inference runs traceable via versioned inputs and config.
