Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or professional certifications preferred with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in data engineering, database development, or a closely related role with production ETL/ELT pipelines for relational DBs such as SQL Server and/or Azure SQL.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Advanced SQL skills including joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Python for data processing, automation, and API integration.
  • Experience with Git-based development and version control.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure and/or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Office products (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Fabric).
  • Ability to use established procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information to make judgments.
  • Organizational skills with inquisitive mindset; Agile familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and improve data pipelines and platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and applications.
  • Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to translate data needs into scalable solutions.
  • Develop solutions using Power Platform products including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure SQL.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity via validation, verification, and reconciliation.
  • Optimize database and application performance through queries, indexing, and data structures.
  • Monitor database security, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, models, and user guides.
  • Assist with training and support for end-users on database systems.
  • Lead by example aligning with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and verify understanding with stakeholders.
