Job summary

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build, enhance, and support scalable data platform capabilities that enable analytics, integration, and data-driven solutions. You will implement reliable data services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure with Snowflake, AWS, and modern DevOps practices.

The role collaborates with architects, software engineers, data engineers, and business partners to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-performing platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong experience in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of AWS services relevant to data and application platforms.
• Experience in API development and service integration.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience supporting or orchestrating microservices using CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of software engineering and data platform delivery practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in complex environments.
• Added bonus if you have Experience in data platform engineering, data services, or cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Familiarity with SQL and cloud data architecture patterns.
• Exposure to workflow automation, deployment tooling, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Understanding of security, performance tuning, and operational reliability practices.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and cross-functional delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support data platform components, services, and integrations using Python.
