Job summary

Tradeweb is building a new data engineering function that directly supports our Corporate Data Science and Analytics teams. You will curate datasets, optimize code and craft ETL flows to accelerate analytics products, aligning closely with business-facing teams to learn the fundamentals of electronic trading and the data powering our markets.

You will contribute to the data platform with AWS/GCP, Kafka, and containerized services, while advancing production-grade pipelines and data quality

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a Data Platform Engineering role.
• Strong software engineering experience and Python.
• Experience with SQL and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, Presto).
• Experience building ETL and stream processing pipelines using Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow/Prefect.
• Familiarity with data science stack: Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Dask, PyTorch, MLFlow, Kubeflow.
• Experience with AWS/GCP (S3/GCS, EC2/GCE, IAM), Kubernetes and Linux in production.
• Strong automation and DevOps practices.
• Experience managing growing data volume, velocity and variety.
• Agile, self-starter and focused on getting things done.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and communicate effectively.
• Participate in on-call outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Build and run processes that utilize Tradeweb's data platform using such technologies as public cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP), Kafka, databases and containers
• Enhance Tradeweb's data science platform based on open source software and Cloud services
• Build and run ETL pipelines to onboard data into the platform, define schema, build DAG processing pipelines and monitor data quality.
• Manage and run mission crucial production services.
