Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of database administration experience.
• Strong understanding of DBMS (SQL Server).
• Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures).
• Experience with database backup and recovery.
• Skills in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of database security (access control, encryption).
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery (replication, failover).
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes.
• Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for reporting and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Set up data backup system and implement data restore plan.
• Extract and transform data to proper format depending on the data analysis needs.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Ensure all database programs meet the company and performance requirements.
• Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
