Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Data Modeler to join a growing team focused on building deterministic models that support scientific research and decision-making. This individual will collaborate closely with scientists and other modeling professionals to translate requirements into usable, production-ready models that deliver measurable value to end users.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing models that have been successfully adopted and utilized by broader teams. Excellent communication skills are critical, as this role requires working directly with scientists and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective modeling solutions.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and maintain deterministic data models based on stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with scientists and technical teams to gather requirements and define modeling approaches.
• Translate business and scientific needs into practical modeling solutions.
• Build models that are scalable, reusable, and adopted by end users.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and model outputs.
• Contribute to a "model factory" environment where models are developed from standardized requirements and delivered efficiently.
• Present model results, recommendations, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with teammates to establish best practices and improve modeling processes.

Required Qualifications

• Comfortable supporting a W2 contract through at least Dec 2027, likely to be extended after that. No C2C, subcontracting, or employment sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Physics, or similar.
• Experience building and deploying deterministic models in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated history of developing models that were successfully adopted and utilized by users in production settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to gather requirements and independently drive model development.
• Experience documenting and publishing modeling work for broader consumption.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local to Malvern, PA and willing to work onsite as requested (hybrid).
• Scientific, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or R&D industry experience.
• Experience supporting scientific teams or research organizations, specifically within Cell and Gene Therapy.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline.
• Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Compensation

$85,000 to $95,000 annually. Paid on hourly basis; guaranteed 40 hours per week. Intended to be a multi-year W2 contract; through 2027 initially with opportunity for permanent conversion and/or extensions year over year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
