JOB DESCRIPTION: This one: need strong SQL ANY STATE/GOVERNMENT WILL BE A PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Execute Data Validation Tests: Perform structured testing to ensure accurate migration of data from mainframe systems to modern platforms, using methods like record counts, field-level comparisons, and reconciliation reports
• Leverage JCL and SORT Utilities: Use Job Control Language (JCL) and SORT tools to extract, manipulate, and validate data during migration cycles, supporting batch job testing and troubleshooting
• Apply SQL for Data Verification: Run basic SQL queries to validate data integrity in target systems, ensuring correct mapping and transformation from legacy formats
• Identify and Report Defects: Log discrepancies such as missing records, format mismatches, or transformation errors, and escalate issues to senior engineers or developers for resolution
• Understand Migration Testing Methods: Apply foundational knowledge of data migration testing strategies, including pre-migration checks, post-migration validation, and rollback procedures
