Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a Data Migration Specialist to enhance automation, speed, and accuracy in client data onboarding. You will use Excel and SQL to collect, validate, and reconcile data, resolving discrepancies and improving workflow.

You will collaborate with development teams to design replicable, adaptable processes that scale with our expanding client base, ensuring high-quality data delivery and transparent documentation across the investment lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in accounting knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with SQL or other relational databases.
  • Securities or financial markets knowledge, especially involving derivatives, alternatives, structured products, and/or fixed income.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities and math expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and validates client data into Clearwater investment account system as the primary responsibility.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Clearwater Way methodologies to onboard clients, including aligning and supporting CW's Client Engagement Model.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and takes the lead in implementing solutions for continuous service improvement.
  • Coordinates complex activities effectively within a dynamic and agile environment.
  • Applies understanding of the accounting equation, amortization, interest income, and other accounting concepts.
  • Understands data intake, normalization, reconciliation, and reporting workflow.
  • Applies understanding of vanilla fixed income and equity investments in CW context.
  • Understands and applies Clearwater's core value proposition (aggregate, reconcile, report) in a market-and client-agnostic manner.

Job description

The Data Migration Specialists play a crucial role in enhancing our system's automation, speed, accuracy, and workflow. They employ tools such as Excel and SQL to collect and analyze data, resolving issues and discrepancies. This optimization greatly improves the efficiency of onboarding client data at Clearwater. Collaborating closely with our talented development teams, they devise creative strategies that not only simplify the process but also dramatically cut down delivery times.
