Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Manager with strong hands-on expertise in SQL and Microsoft Azure to lead data management, quality, governance, and reporting initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical data skills with the ability to work with business and technology teams to ensure data is accurate, secure, accessible, and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage enterprise data processes, standards, and data quality
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
• Manage large datasets across relational databases and cloud environments
• Support data integration, migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities
• Work extensively within the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Establish data governance, quality controls, documentation, and reporting standards
• Troubleshoot data issues and identify root causes
• Partner with business, analytics, engineering, and application teams
• Monitor data accuracy, completeness, performance, and security

Required Experience:

• Strong hands-on SQL expertise – complex queries, joins, performance tuning, stored procedures
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse
• Strong ETL/ELT and data integration experience
• Data migration, mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation experience
• Understanding of data governance, master data, data quality, and security
• Ability to manage data initiatives while remaining technically hands-on

Preferred:

Experience with Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Python, APIs, or Azure Data Lake.

We are looking for someone who can own the data landscape end-to-end, not simply manage a team—a strong technical Data Manager who can work directly with SQL and Azure while driving data quality and governance.
