Job summary

Creighton University’s REACH program is seeking a Data Manager & Communications Specialist to lead data collection, management, and reporting for community health projects.

The role collaborates with the Evaluation Specialist, CDC evaluator, and program leadership, maintains databases, prepares dashboards, and oversees communications and website content. Occasional evenings and local travel are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Two+ years of experience with database management, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and similar as well as reporting tools.
  • Experience with web-based surveys.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage, and maintain program data from community partners and program activities.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy through data verification and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain databases, longitudinal datasets, and documentation.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software (e.g., SPSS) to support program evaluation and decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for program leadership, the CDC, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Evaluation Specialist on data collection tools, evaluation instruments, and grant reporting.
  • Design and develop standardized and ad hoc reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a data management resource for program staff and partners.
  • Manage REACH technology and communications, including website maintenance, web-based surveys, newsletters, brochures, presentations, signage, and other communication materials.
  • Travel to partner communities for data collection and program support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program is a community-academic partnership dedicated to reducing chronic disease disparities among African American/Black and Hispanic/Latino communities through culturally responsive, evidence-based strategies.

The Data Manager & Communications Specialist reports to the REACH Program Supervisor and works closely with community partners, the Evaluation Specialist, CDC evaluator, and program leadership to manage program data, support evaluation, and oversee technology and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, manage, and maintain program data from community partners and program activities.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Willingness to travel locally and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
