Kaiser Permanente in Downey, CA is seeking a part-time Data Analyst–Healthcare Data Operations to contribute to data processes, maintenance, and accuracy across administrative and clinical data elements.

You will support data uploads, reporting metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve routine and nonroutine data requests, while adapting to changing requirements and maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in health care data analysis, relational database management, business process improvement, training delivery, clinical research or a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent AND Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment OR Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree and RHIT credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to data processes and maintenance by entering, maintaining, reconciling data, and verifying accuracy of information in collaboration with the team.
  • Identifies and captures standard and nonstandard administrative and clinical data elements, such as patient data.
  • Performs data processing including adjustments and routine/nonroutine uploads.
  • Develops or uses reporting data and metrics for internal and external reports.
  • Supports data abstraction and transfer of data for routine transfers.
  • Maintains data quality and escalates issues as needed.

Contributes to data abstraction by identifying and capturing standard and nonstandard administrative and clinical data elements, such as patient data. Performs data processing to include performing adjustments for a variety of data independently and conducting routine and nonroutine data uploads. Contributes to completion of data reports by developing or using reporting data and metrics for internal and external reports.
