Job summary

Latitude Legal is recruiting for a Counsel / Senior Counsel specializing in Data Licensing and Commercial Contracts in Midtown Manhattan, NY. The role is permanent, in-house, full-time, with a base salary of $165,000–$200,000 and potential annual incentives and equity.

The successful candidate will manage market data licenses, redistribution arrangements, and exchange agreements, while shaping AI-enabled contract workflows and playbooks.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active New York Bar admission is required.
• 3+ years of relevant legal experience in data licensing or financial services.
• Experience drafting and negotiating market/data licenses and related agreements.
• Ability to advise on regulatory and compliance considerations in contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate market data licenses, exchange agreements, and distributions.
• Advise on commercial terms, data usage, and liability structures across jurisdictions.
• Play a hands-on role in applying AI/CLM tools to contract workflows and playbooks.
• Collaborate across time zones and support senior stakeholders in strategic negotiations.
