Applied Materials’ TKM SBU seeks a highly motivated intern for summer 2027 to support Global supply chain projects and reporting initiatives. You will extract, clean, and analyze supply chain data using SQL or Python, and develop Tableau dashboards to monitor cost, logistics, and supplier performance.

You’ll collaborate with Purchasing and Operations, participate in cross-functional initiatives, and present executive-level updates to global leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Python, SQL, and Tableau.

Responsabilités

• Extract, Clean and analyze supply chain data from multiple internal databases using SQL or Python to support operational insights and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and automated reports to monitor metrics such as cost, logistics performance, supplier capacity and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and data-driven optimization.
• Conduct TKM Cost-Saving global initiatives alignment and prepare executive-level status reports for presentation to global leadership.
• Be a leadership team’s thought partner by developing plans and deploying to bring up multiple global suppliers in parallel.
• Provide support in ad hoc projects related to supplier management and performance optimization.

What the Program Will Provide

Thus, we are seeking a highly motivated intern to support Global supply chain projects and reporting initiatives within our TKM business. The position will entail the following:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• MS office ( Excel, Powerpoint), Tableau, AI prompt); Tableau ( preferred skillsets)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building trust.
• Quick learner and able to solve problems creatively and analytically.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Comfortable working in the manufacturing cleanroom environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Python, SQL, and Data visualization -Tableau.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
