PS Job Title: Data Integrity Analyst
The Data Integrity Analyst (DIA) serves as a “data steward” of a functional area. The DIA works closely with IT and enterprise data governance resources in support of the following data management activities as part of both “build” and “run” functions—data governance/stewardship, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, data modeling, data replication/migration/integration, taxonomy/ontology/search, data security/privacy and data architecture. The DIA is the subject matter expert for a business function’s data. DIAs are responsible for information certification and will execute processes that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data—including associated business rules, business formulas, aggregations, etc.—for designated output (like reports, dashboards, etc.). For example, within the AMI Operations Center (also known as “AMOC”), this role will be used to staff positions responsible for day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of AMI data transfers and transactions—supporting processes dependent on data from advanced meters like meter-to-cash, outage management, etc. These positions will work closely with IT resources to resolve issues related to data transfer among integrated systems. The main performance objective of this role in the AMOC is to minimize the number of unaccounted-for meters, ensure that the data used for customer billing, system analysis and regulatory reporting is secure and of the highest accuracy, and act as the primary utility point of contact to troubleshoot ongoing system issues affecting data integrity.
