Job summary

The Data Integrator will support AFSOC data initiatives, gathering requirements and identifying data-driven solutions to improve decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or eight years of related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• Secret clearance required; experience in the Special Operations community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers focusing on problems at tactical and strategic levels.
• Apply understanding of data integration and visualization to support the data fusion process.
• Use data science techniques to identify trends and patterns from data experiments.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Identify and expose data sets to clients and partners.
• Support technical requirements captured from across the enterprise sites.
• Identify solutions to support improved analysis across site locations.
• Be knowledgeable of tools supporting analysis and data sources relevant to analysts.

Role

The Data Integrator in this role will be at the core of support for AFSOC data initiatives. The Data Integrator will work closely with stakeholders and colleagues to gather requirements and identify solutions for a variety of data related projects. The work in this role has a direct impact on the AFSOC mission as it improves the command's ability to make data driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Data Integrators are responsible for conducting methodology development, software requirement generation, tool testing, and the discovery, aggregation, and visualization of disparate data sources.

• Work directly with customers focusing on problem sets at the tactical and strategic levels
• Apply a thorough understanding of data integration and visualization to support the data fusion process
• Use data science techniques and methodologies to identify trends and patterns detected in data experiments
• Have the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
• Identify and expose data sets to clients and partners
• Support technical requirements captured from across the enterprise sites
• Identify solutions to support improved analysis across the site locations
• Knowledgeable of the various tools that support analysis, data sources relevant to the needs of the analyst
• Assist in data discovery, manipulation, and visualization

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience is required
• Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a computer science discipline, or equivalent, or eight years’ experience providing services similar in required tasks, scope, and complexity
• Experience in the Special Operations community
• A Secret clearance is required.
