Job summary

Impetus Technologies in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Data Analyst to turn complex data into actionable business insights. This onsite role emphasizes large dataset analysis, dashboarding, reporting, SQL and Google Cloud work, and supporting forecasting activities.

You will build Power BI dashboards, write SQL queries for BigQuery/Google Cloud, and use Excel for data analysis, modeling, and ad-hoc reporting, while developing predictive data models.

Qualifications

• Excel proficiency with advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
• SQL skills including experience querying data in BigQuery / Google Cloud.
• Python proficiency for data analysis and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and dashboard development.
• Understanding of predictive data modeling and statistical analysis.
• Experience with planning and forecasting methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, opportunities, and business insights.
• Build and maintain analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data using BigQuery / Google Cloud.
• Use Excel for data analysis, reporting, modeling, and ad-hoc business analysis.
• Develop and maintain predictive data models to support business decision-making.
• Conduct data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support planning and forecasting through quantitative analysis and historical trend evaluation.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and meaningful metrics.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
• Automate recurring analytical processes using Python where appropriate.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to improve data availability, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities driven by data-driven insights and automation.
