Job summary

VAST Data is seeking a Data Analyst, Customer Success to join our growing analytics team. You will build analytics and dashboards to deliver insights on CS metrics such as Time to Response, Time to Resolution, NPS, and Feature Adoption.

You will transform data into actionable insights, developing accurate, repeatable reports and dashboards. Proficiency in SQL and Tableau is required, with Jira for task tracking and AI tools like Cursor/Claude to speed up development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a data analyst; Customer Success experience preferred.
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Some experience using AI-assisted coding and analysis tools (Cursor, Claude).
• Familiar with Jira to manage analytics tasks.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries to extract and transform customer success data for reporting and analysis.
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics packages for regular business reviews.
• Develop data models behind operational metrics and ensure data quality for reporting.
• Collaborate with Customer Success stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
• Track analytics work in Jira and streamline data processes across systems.
• Identify data quality gaps and document data definitions for financial metrics.
