Job summary

Speechify is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Data side of the AI team in Santa Monica, California. This role is crucial for data collection that supports model training operations, leveraging a cloud infrastructure and ensuring high-quality dataset creation.

The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, with over 5 years of industry experience, and proficiency in Python and Docker. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $140,000–$200,000, plus bonuses and equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with scientists to deliver richer data at larger scale.
• Craft the dataset roadmap for Speechify’s AI team.
