Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Analyst to support data lineage and governance activities, collaborating with a global stakeholder base to ensure accurate data flows in line with policies. The role requires organization, attention to detail, and teamwork across geographies.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in data governance or data management, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or data management roles; experience with data lineage is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of data concepts, databases, reporting, data aggregation and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking data lineage and governance deliverables and action items.
  • Gather information from business and technology stakeholders to support lineage and governance activities.
  • Support data quality reviews by identifying data hygiene issues and assisting with issue tracking and remediation.
  • Prepare presentations related to data lineage and governance initiatives.
  • Participate in governance meetings and capture actions and follow-ups.
  • Maintain documentation including data dictionaries, lineage, and flow diagrams.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve documentation quality.
