Job summary

OpenKyber is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive governance strategy, policy, and program execution for our enterprise data assets in a midstream energy context. You will oversee data quality, metadata, cataloging, lineage, and issue management while coordinating with business units and IT.

The role emphasizes change management, data literacy, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure enterprise-ready datasets and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data management, governance, quality, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise programs or cross-functional groups.
• Experience developing data governance policies, standards, and operating models.
• Proficiency with SQL and ability to analyze data to identify root causes.
• Strong facilitation and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise data governance strategy and set priorities for Data Council.
• Administer and update the Data Governance Program with a multi-year roadmap.
• Lead the Governance Working Committee and standardize governance practices.
• Define scope for data governance and its interaction with other programs.
• Develop and enforce data policies, standards, and guidelines (quality, metadata, retention, security).
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and IT to manage data risks.
