Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Governance Engineer, Lead, to advance mission data governance for a national security client. You will lead modernization of data flows, define data handling rules, and harden schemas to enable secure interoperability across teams.

You will coordinate with data flow providers, deliver Tier 1 operations support, and translate complex requirements into practical technical specifications while growing your expertise in cross-domain tech and AI-assisted schema

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience working on contracts for the federal government.
  • Experience with data flow, Apache NiFi, or mission systems.
  • Experience defining and applying data tagging and handling requirements.
  • Experience analyzing and defining data schemas and data processing requirements.
  • Experience developing capability level and functional requirements, mission scenarios, use cases, or business processes for automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance concepts, such as data provenance, classification, sizing, retention, data sharing, and marking.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT Engineering field plus 15+ years of systems engineering, or 20+ years in lieu of a degree.

You Have:

15+ years of experience working on contracts for the federal government

Experience with data flow, Apache NiFi, or mission systems

Experience defining and applying data tagging and handling requirements

Experience analyzing and defining data schemas and data processing requirements
