Capital Group in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) transformation, moving toward AI-enabled governance at enterprise scale. You will own the strategy, drive adoption, and build a high-performing team across investment, operations, and client domains.

You will shape governance-as-code practices, policy enforcement, and data quality controls, partnering with stakeholders to deliver compliant, scalable data governance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data governance or information management.
• 3+ years leading high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience building governance programs from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI/ML for governance automation, including governance-as-code, policy-as-code, automated controls.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, AWS) and modern data architecture.
• Strong background in change management and driving adoption across large organizations.
• Experience with data governance in highly regulated environments (SEC, FINRA, EU AI Act).

• You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Management or a related field
• You have at least 10 years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or information management
• You have at least 3 years of demonstrated success leading high‑performing teams
• You have demonstrated experience building governance programs or capabilities from the ground up
• You have hands‑on experience leveraging AI/ML for governance automation, including governance‑as‑code, policy‑as‑code, automated controls, AI‑driven data quality monitoring, and other technologies that improve compliance, risk management, and control effectiveness
• Your technical foundation includes experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, AWS), modern data architecture (CD/CI pipelines), and governance tooling platforms (Collibra or similar technology)
• You have a strong background with change management practices including driving adoption and behavioral change across large, complex organizations
• Your expertise includes data governance practices and frameworks for highly regulated environments (i.e., SEC, FINRA, and EU AI Act)
• You’ve worked in financial services, investment management, or other highly regulated industries

Charlotte Base Salary Range: $166,236-$282,601

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
