Job summary

TOMORROW HIRE is seeking a Data Governance Analyst for the DBHDS project in Richmond, VA. The role supports enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data quality across AWS data platform and Snowflake.

Hybrid work arrangement with two on-site days per week in Richmond; contract type is 1099 with hourly pay between $44 and $64. Start date October 5, 2026 and end date October 15, 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in data analysis, governance, management, quality, or related disciplines.
• Extensive experience with data lineage and cataloging.
• Experience creating data policies and procedures.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience documenting metadata, business glossaries, and data dictionaries.
• Experience with governance programs and workshops.
• On-site Richmond, VA two days per week; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Enterprise Data Governance Program.
• Facilitate governance workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Onboard applications into the Enterprise Data Governance Program.
• Establish governance for new enterprise datasets with Data Owners and Stewards.
• Develop and maintain governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Capture and maintain business and technical metadata; develop glossary and CDEs.
• Document data lineage and end-to-end data flows; support data mapping.
• Produce governance dashboards and executive reports.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Project Teams, and Information Security.
