Position Overview

At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. As a Data Expert within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis; some duties may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data profiling, trend analysis, and root cause investigations for data quality issues.
  • Support the creation and validation of metadata in tools such as Alation, including Tier 1 & 2 applications and PII data.
  • Assist in documenting Source‑to‑Target Mappings (STMs) and data lineage for critical data elements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to monitor data health and remediation progress.
  • Collaborate with application owners and data stewards to ensure adherence to data governance policies.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or Python to extract, transform, and visualize data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in data analysis, data quality, or business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI or data transformation tool (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python).
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lifecycle principles.
  • Experience working with enterprise data catalogs and lineage tools is a plus.
