Job summary

JFrog Ltd in the United States is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Team Lead to guide a team of five data engineers. You will own the technical direction of large-scale data pipelines, shaping architecture for streaming and batch ingestion, and ensuring reliability and performance.

You will mentor engineers, participate in hands-on development and technical reviews, and collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, security and product teams to align data solutions with business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a technical data team.
• Strong background in databases and data pipelines.
• Experience with streaming and batch data ingestion.
• Proficient in Python and data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of five engineers with task prioritization and career development.
• Own the technical direction and architecture of large-scale data pipelines for the business’ critical path.
• Design and oversee solutions for complex, changing internet data sources.
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and efficient handling vast data volumes.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to align data solutions with business needs.
• Drive best practices in code quality, observability, and documentation; promote operational excellence.
• Participate in hands-on development and technical reviews as needed.
