Job summary

Platinum Technologies in Northern Virginia is seeking a Data Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead enterprise data solutions for Object-Based Intelligence mission requirements. You will design scalable architectures, data pipelines, and integration frameworks supporting ontologies, knowledge graphs, and AI/ML data needs.

Collaborating with ontology engineers, software and data engineers, and Government stakeholders, you will ensure data quality, governance, and secure data delivery

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph.
• 12+ years of experience or 17 years with a bachelor is preferred.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions and data integration architectures.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines with modern data engineering tools.
• Experience integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from heterogeneous sources.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, graph databases and distributed processing platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and enterprise data architecture.
• Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies, knowledge graphs or ontology-based data integration.
• Experience with cloud-based or containerized data platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise data solutions for Object-Based Intelligence missions.
• Design scalable data pipelines for multi-source ingest, transformation, and integration.
• Develop data integration frameworks supporting ontologies, knowledge graphs, and Semantic Web tech.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and government stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Design data architectures for cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid environments.
• Establish data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance processes.
• Optimize data processing using modern distributed frameworks and scalable storage.
• Support AI/ML by delivering curated data pipelines and semantic context.
• Produce documentation, data dictionaries, and engineering standards.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to government personnel and project teams.
