Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to design, develop, and support data initiatives across the organization, ensuring scalable data delivery architectures. You will lead a team of data engineers and data scientists, aligning work with business goals and collaborating with multiple teams.

The role is hybrid, based at the Rolling Meadows headquarters, with in-office presence scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote otherwise.

Qualifications

• Has a technical BS degree in IT.
• 7+ years of data engineering experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• 3+ years leading a technical team and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Scala, Java, and XML.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, scope definition and technical design of data integration workflows.
• Mentor a team of Data Engineers and Data Scientists (onsite and offshore).
• Identify risks in data initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple teams and ensure alignment with business priorities.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures for scalability.
