Job summary

Orrstown Bank is seeking a Data Engineering Team Leader to design, build, and maintain the bank's data infrastructure, including pipelines, databases, and data warehouses. You will architect ETL processes and work with data scientists, analysts, and business units to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

You will enforce data governance, ensure data quality and security, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with IT for seamless integration across the bank's systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; master's preferred.
• Seven+ years of systems engineering experience focusing on data solutions in banking/finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of bank's data infrastructure (pipelines, databases, warehouses).
• Architect and optimize ETL processes for diverse sources into data storage systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Implement and enforce data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform advanced data modeling and database design for integration and retrieval.
• Lead performance tuning to enhance scalability, reliability, and throughput.
• Stay updated on emerging data engineering tech and best practices for bank use.
• Provide mentorship to junior data engineers and drive continuous learning.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Document data processes, workflows, configurations, and architectures.
