Judi Health in Denver/NYC area is seeking a Data Engineer Fall Intern to help build robust data systems, support analytics and operations teams, and learn healthcare data platforms.

You will partner with teams to translate needs into data solutions, design ETL pipelines, and ensure data quality using Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Airflow, Snowflake, and Redshift.

This internship offers exposure to enterprise-grade data infrastructure and a collaborative environment while you complete your degree.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Python (or Java), SQL, JSON, and XML.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing architecture techniques and familiarity with Kimball methodology.
  • A strong interest in data engineering, displaying the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex data pipelines.
  • Capacity to analyze the company’s broader data landscape and architect scalable data solutions that support growth.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to tackle and solve intricate technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with operational and analytics teams to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
  • Architect and implement ETL workflows leveraging Judi Health platforms and technologies such as Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Terraform, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, and Redshift.
  • Conduct testing to ensure the flawless execution of data pipelines before production deployment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for data infrastructure.
  • Responsible for adherence to the Judi Health Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.

Required Qualifications:

(Optional) Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in the healthcare or PBM sector
  • Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, and SQL development and Python experience
Salary Range:
  • New York, NY: $20 — $22 USD
  • Denver, CO: $20 — $22 USD
