Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking two experienced Data Engineers for a high-profile financial services engagement. This 6-month contract role is hybrid, with on-site days in Rosebank and remote days, and involves turning complex data into clean, reliable outputs for production.

You will work with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, perform data analysis, design data models, ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to Agile delivery milestones across the programme.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in data/analytics
• 5+ years in financial services
• 5+ years in business/feature analysis
• 5+ years in data analysis
• Experience in Agile delivery with senior stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification required
• Toolkit includes requirements gathering, data modelling, governance, lineage, SQL, data profiling, warehousing, Jira and Agile delivery

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and data requirements with senior stakeholders

Turn complex financial data into real business impact

Do you like working where finance, data and delivery meet? We're looking for two experienced Data Engineers for a high-profile financial services engagement. You'll work with senior business and technology stakeholders to turn business needs into clean, reliable data that's ready for production.

This is a hands-on role on an important programme. Your analysis and data skills will shape the delivery of the programme.

What you'll do

Requirements

What you'll bring

• At least 8 years of professional experience
• At least 5 years in financial services
• At least 5 years in business analysis or feature analysis
• At least 5 years in data analysis
• Experience in Agile delivery and working with senior business and technology stakeholders
• A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (minimum)
• Your toolkit Requirements gathering, business and feature analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, data modelling, data mapping, data governance, data lineage, data quality, SQL, data profiling, data warehousing concepts, Jira and Agile delivery.
