Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Engineer to join Workforce Solutions in Bellevue, WA. You will design and deploy distributed data pipelines, build internal data warehouses, and own dashboards used by engineers and data scientists.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using ETL/ELT.
• 1+ years of OLAP technologies usage for BI analytics.
• 1+ years of data modeling experience.
• 1+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data warehousing and modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and automate deployment of our distributed system for collecting and processing log events from multiple sources.
• Design data schema and operate internal data warehouses and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards for engineers, analysts, and data scientists.

Key job responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, You Will/may

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using OLAP technologies experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using each of the following: ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes experience

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
