Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Engineer for Workforce Solutions - Talent Mobility in Bellevue, WA. You will design, build, and automate data pipelines, data models, and dashboards to empower analytics across engineering, business, and recruiting teams.

You will own data infrastructure, optimize performance, and collaborate with analysts and data scientists to drive informed decisions in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 2+ years in large-scale BI analytics using ETL/ELT processes.
• 2+ years in large-scale BI analytics using OLAP technologies.
• 2+ years in large-scale BI analytics using data modeling.
• 2+ years in large-scale BI analytics using SQL.
• 2+ years in ETL/ELT processes experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and automate deployment of our distributed system for log collection and processing.
• Design data schema and operate internal data warehouses and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards used by engineers, analysts and data scientists.
• Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines.
• Drive architectural plans for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions.
• Develop code based automated data pipelines capable of processing millions of data points.
• Improve database and data warehouse performance by tuning queries.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and internal partners to identify problems and opportunities.
• Troubleshoot, research root causes, and resolve defects as needed.
