VTG seeks a skilled Data Engineer in Chantilly, VA with 5+ years designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. The role emphasizes ETL/ELT, data integration, and cloud platforms to support analytics and decision-making.

A TS/SCI with Polygraph is required. Design and optimize data pipelines, data lakes, warehouses, and marts; ingest and transform large data volumes; ensure data quality and governance; collaborate with analysts and stakeholders.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow, Informatica, or similar.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas).
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
