Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related field.

• 3+ years supporting and troubleshooting production data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support data solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformation processes for reporting, analytics, operational, and regulatory use cases.

Huntington Bank’s Home Lending Data Management Support team is hiring a Sr Data Engineer to help deliver reporting, analytics, operational, and regulatory data solutions for the Home Lending organization. The role focuses on turning business requirements into reliable data pipelines and datasets, with ongoing support across an agile delivery framework.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support data solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformation processes for reporting, analytics, operational, and regulatory use cases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, ETL/ELT development, business intelligence, or related technology disciplines.
• 4+ years of SQL development and relational database experience.
• 3+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• 3+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting production data solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment using an agile approach while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with SAS for data integration and transformation.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, VBA, PowerAutomate, or similar automation technologies.
• Experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting (HMDA, CRA, FFIEC, TRID).
• Experience with mortgage loan origination platforms such as Encompass.
